Diamond In The Rough

Her eyes spoke a million words
Stories of the world she knew, and of hopes her heart held close
I know of the walls that pushed against her shoulders
And the hands of fear that blocked the warmth of the sun
She climbed trees to peek at how big the world really was
Only to see no one was there to catch her when the winds blew heavy
She held on tight to what she could
She did not fall

If she could, she would
Change the beat in the hearts of those she loves
If she could, she would not
Destroy the hearts of those who forgot to love

Her eyes speak a million words
Stories of the world she knows, and of dreams she holds close to her heart
She knows of the walls she has climbed and have broken down
And the hands of fear she will push away
Climb that tree!
I will be there to catch you
Hold on to me
It's okay to fall

If I could, I would
Take away all she has seen and did not feel
If I could, I would not
Change that Diamond in the rough

Theatre Time!

To be successful in the world of theatre, you must be able to control the hundreds of individual muscles on your face. Being able to convince your audience you are a wanker, dweeb, moron or schmuck wad, is a clear indication you are ready for the bright lights of either, Hollywood or your local clinic!

The 'Neutral' lookThe 'Straight Jacket'The 'I Need A Toilet Now'The 'Say No To Drugs'The 'Amphibian'

For more insight on how to master the art of idiocy, simply imagine you are eight years young with little sense of pride, shame, or purpose! Good luck and enjoy!

Shoulders Of Orion

Nexus 6 replicant 'Roy Batty', is like no other fictional character on film. He mirrors an array of complex human emotions masterfully! More importantly, he exemplifies and symbolizes the wonderous capabilities of the mysterious human soul.
I saw bits of the movie on local television stations when I was a young wank, but never knew of its title. I never thought much of it, and actually thought it to be dark and dull.
On New Years Eve 1992, I decided to stay home and 'chill'. I was seventeen at the time. I watched the countdown on television and gorged on food my mom prepared earlier that evening. After gaining four pounds, I sat on the couch to allow blood to readily flow back to my brain. I focused on my breathing as I was being suffocated by eggplant and beef.
Before 'coma' took over, I noticed a familiar movie playing. It was ironically calming, yet intense. I was hooked!
To make a semi-long story short, the next to the last scene was quite unexpected. The honesty and rawness of Roy Battey's character was real and spoke volumes.
It is arguementitively the most moving scene on film, according to me of course!
No other movie has left quite a lasting impression on me.
Since then, 'Bladerunner (director's cut)' has yet to be bumped from the top of my 'favourite movies' list!
